Stonebrook Day School was founded by Donna Smith and opened in April of 2003. With over 20 years in the childcare business Donna began her career in teaching and administration of private schools. During that time she was instrumental in starting a number of new schools before opening her own facility in Dallas Texas. When an opportunity to open a childcare facility close to her family in Middle Tennesseeroots she and her husband, Rick, decided to relocate to Murfreesboro from Dallas, Texas.

The business has grown from Donna's love of children and dedication to providing a safe, nurturing environment for them. Built on the founding philosophy that children's innate curiosity is the natural doorway to a child's intellectual development. The goal is to enhance that with experiences designed to encourage the child's social and creative growth.
