Here at Stonebrook Day School, we believe the most important beginning of a child's life is the training they receive. Our main objectives are to teach children to be responsible, to offer them developmentally
appropriate experiences, to demonstrate the importance of being kind and courteous to others, and to encourage the talents and gifts of each child.
Another of our objectives is to realize that each child is a unique individual and individual differences must be respected and encouraged. Our childhood program is based upon the belief that children are naturally curious and will seek to explore and learn about their environment. Our school is concerned with the development of the whole child, and with helping to foster his or her emotional, social, physical, and intellectual growth. We will fill your child's day with play, wonder, painting, drawing, singing and just some plain old letting kids be kids. We will create an atmosphere that promotes a warm, entertaining environment, giving children the freedom to explore and learn. We also encourage the development of the children in health and safety habits. We hope to develop in each child a positive attitude toward himself and toward learning. We hope that when they go out into the world they will remember their childhood memories at Stonebrook Day School, and wish they were young again.
We as caregivers at Stonebrook Day School encourage the children to accept each other regardless of handicaps, disabilities or other diversities. We try to instill in each child a love and compassion for every person. We hope that feeling will be with them throughout the rest of their lives.
