Preschool

Preschool is a special time in your child’s life. At Stonebrook Day School we prepare your child for entrance into the school environment. We strive to make learning fun for children. We also provide many experiences to help your child learn to interact positively with other children.

Learning is not emphasized at the expense of play. We believe constructive play is an important component of building a well rounded child. Play activities are designed to promote socialization skills and to allow your child to enjoy themselves during this very special time of their life.

Nutritional requirements are a big part of the Stonebrook Day School Preschool program. Healthy, balanced meals are provided for all preschoolers, or special diets can be provided by parents. Children learn about health and nutrition as part of their education. Building a sound understanding of good food and nutrition will stay with a child long after they leave our care.

Parents can monitor their children’s activities through the use of our private Web-cams for parents and guardians.

Language and Reading Readiness

Stonebrook Day School takes a comprehensive approach to reading readiness that includes letter recognition and phonics, plus many opportunities to experience the joy of books.
