Stonebrook Day School is proud to let you know we use the HighReach Learning curriculum. For complete information please visit the HighReach Learning web site.
Each class has a posted schedule and list of activities for the
week. Each schedule will differ according to age groups All schedules
will include center time, story time, outside play(recess), lessons,
music time, group games and art time.
Infants
Our infant care programs assure your new child a safe and loving
environment throughout the day. Infants are cared for in a special
section of the school designed for their special needs.
Infant care givers are specifically trained for their critical
duties, having the latest knowledge of infant care procedures and
health need. Each infant is monitored throughout the day and given
both visual and aural stimuli that will nurture their growing minds
and bodies.
Toddlers

Toddlers get special attention during these important developing
years. Our staff has designed activities that will keep them active
and involved throughout the day. Games, learning activities and
quiet times will balance your toddler's time with us. Children play
and learn in small groups supervised by our trained staff.
Activities for toddlers are designed to promote their physical
development as well as their mental growth. Play activities include
indoor and outdoor, weather permitting.
Your toddler's nutritional needs are monitored and each child receives a balanced meal every day, or can be supplied with a meal you provide
for a special diet.
Preschool

Preschool is a special time in your child's life. At Stonebrook
Day School we prepare your child for entrance into the school environment.
We strive to make learning fun for children. We also provide many
experiences to help your child learn to interact positively with
other children.
Learning is not emphasized at the expense of play. We believe constructive
play is an important component of building a well rounded child.
Play activities are designed to promote socialization skills and
to allow your child to enjoy themselves during this very special
time of their life.
Nutritional requirements are a big part of the Stonebrook Day School
Preschool program. Healthy, balanced meals are provided for all preschoolers,
or special diets can be provided by parents. Children learn about
health and nutrition as part of their education. Building a sound
understanding of good food and nutrition will stay with a child
long after they leave our care.
Parents can monitor their children's activities through the use
of our private Web-cams for parents and guardians.
Language and Reading Readiness
Stonebrook Day School takes a comprehensive approach to reading readiness
that includes letter recognition and phonics, plus many opportunities
to experience the joy of books.
